Search my heart for deceit and duplicity,
Nail to death the path of my carnal ways.
Into your courts, single-minded and a heart of purity,
I wanna see You face to face.
Lies say, a vacuum in my mind wins the battle,
The Truth says, my battle's not over.
Empower my salvation with fear as i tremble,
I hold on to You in combat now and forever.
I will remember the agony that You bore for me.
Even in Your prayer with sweat like blood dripping from You,
Even Your thoughts of Your sacrifice at Gethsamane,
Brings me to the ground. Forgive me for taking advantage of You.
That bitter cup that was for me,
Hung You between heaven and earth.
There is where I desire to be,
That i can see You with fear and love.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - Meditate on these things.
